RSC AND AILEEN GONSALVES
Associate Director at the RSC, working alongside Greg Doran on The Tempest.
Greg Doran is currently Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company(RSC),succeeding Michael Boyd in September 2012. In an interview, announcing his appointment, Doran said that whilst Boyd had concentrated on the 'Company', he would be concentrating on the 'Shakespeare'in the Royal Shakespeare Company logo.

Students from Stratford College performed a verbatim theatre piece at the AGM, devised by Aileen Gonsalves, which highlighted the impact of RSC Education's work across the UK.

Aileen trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama andworks professionally in film, theatre, television and radio. She was AssistantDirector to Tim Supple on Midnight’s Children and Greg Doran on All’sWell That Ends Well at the RSC. She has been the RSC International and National Youth Ensemble director since 2008, as well as an RSC education practitioner.
Most recently Aileen has written and directed a piece in association with the LSO for The Barbican, called Play On Shakespeare. Aileen was Head of the MA in Acting for the last four years at Arts Educational Schools London,which she left last September to work as Associate Director at the RSC working along side Greg Doran on The Tempest.
Who is Aileen Gonsalves (Daughter of Don and Pam Gonsalves)
Aileen was Head of the MA in Acting for the last four yearsat Arts Educational Schools London, which she left last September( 2015) towork as Associate Director at the RSC working alongside Greg Doran on The Tempest.
Aileen is an actor, writer and theatre director. Aileen has written Church Ladies an afternoon play for (Radio 4) and Tracy Beaker (BBC) as well as various stage plays.
Aileen was Assistant Director to Tim Supple on Midnight’s Children and Greg Doran on All’s Well That Ends Well (both RSC). Aileen directed the RSC Youth Ensemble in A Winter’s Tale and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon, as well as over 25 productions for C Company of mainly Shakespeare.
She is currently Artistic Director of Butterfly working on site specific productions around the UK and the director of the MA in Acting at Arts Educational Schools, London.
